Scholarships Programs
Education is a vital tool in empowering young warriors living with sickle cell. Our Scholarship Program in Nigeria provides financial support to children who need it most, giving them the stability to focus on learning and the confidence to pursue their future.
By easing the burden of school fees, supplies, and health‑related pressures, the program opens doors to quality education that many families would otherwise struggle to access. This support helps each child stay engaged in school, build resilience, and work toward long‑term success.
Fit to Achieve first launched the Scholarship Program in 2023 to support two young warriors, Success and Ismail. Their education was made possible through the generosity of our patron, Daniel Egurube, and an anonymous donor.
This academic year, we are expanding the program to include three additional students, bringing our total to five children. Among the new candidates are Angel Godwin and Destiny Usen, who both began school with our support in August 2025.
We extend our gratitude to Daniel Egurube for establishing The Esther Egurube Scholarship (TEES) Fund, honouring his mother’s legacy of supporting disadvantaged children. Thanks to our donors and partners, the scholarship fund has now grown to N6 million naira, strengthening our ability to support more young warriors.
