Governance at Fit to Achieve

Fit to Achieve is governed by a committed Board of Trustees who provide strategic direction, oversight and accountability for all programs and operations. Our governance framework ensures that every decision supports our mission to improve wellbeing, access and opportunity for young people and families across our community.

The Board oversees compliance, financial stewardship, risk management and long‑term planning. This includes reviewing organisational performance, monitoring program impact and ensuring that our work meets ethical, legal and safeguarding standards. Day‑to‑day operations are delivered by our leadership team, volunteers and community partners, guided by the principles of transparency, inclusion and responsible management.

We publish our Annual Report each year to demonstrate how resources are used, the outcomes achieved and the progress made toward our goals. This commitment to open reporting reflects our belief that strong governance builds trust and strengthens the impact of our work.

Annual Report 2025–26

Each year, Fit to Achieve Sickle Cell Foundation documents the progress, challenges and life‑changing outcomes delivered across our programmes in Nigeria and West Africa. Our annual reports provide a clear, accountable record of how we support children and young people living with sickle cell disease through clinical intervention, education, wellbeing initiatives, scholarships, and community outreach.

These reports reflect our commitment to transparency, responsible governance and measurable impact. They show how donor support, partnerships and volunteer dedication translate into real protection, improved health outcomes, and expanded opportunities for our warriors.
